The Cover of Rolling Stone

Appearing on the cover of Rolling Stone has always been considered a big deal. Besides musicians, whom Rolling Stone primarily covers, politicians, movie/tv stars, comedians, sports figures, and other celebrated people, including some fictional characters have appeared on the cover. Among the people appearing on the cover, The Beatles (as individuals or a band) have appeared over 30 times. Madonna has appeared on more covers than any other female either alone or in a "collage" cover.
