Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey is an upcoming attraction to be added to the Islands of Adventure theme park in Orlando, Florida.
Guests will enter the ride through a queue area recreating the various rooms of Hogwarts castle, including the Portrait gallery, Headmaster's office, Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom and the Gryffindor common room. They will then view a pre-show explaining that guests were to view a lecture, but are instead pulled into an adventure by Harry, Ron and Hermione, followed by a safety reminder from the Sorting Hat.
Next, Riders will board the ride vehicle (a "magical bench") in a recreation of the Room of Requirement, and will go off on a journey with Harry, which includes flying around Hogwarts castle, encountering the Whomping Willow and a dragon, and being caught in a Quidditch match. The ride is controlled with a robotic arm coaster system, and will perform such movements as dropping, spinning around, twisting and turning. Over-the-shoulder bars will be used to secure guests in their seats. At the conclusion of the ride, guests will exit into the "Filch's Emporium of Confiscated Goods" gift shop.

While wandering the corridors of Hogwarts castle on the way to Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, guests will pass through Dumbledore's office, an exact replica of the one seen in the Harry Potter films.

In the Room of Requirement, guests will board the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride.
Portraits line the walls of Hogwarts castle, the home of Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. Guests passing through the gallery will encounter talking portraits created exclusively for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
