The internet has proliferated and encouraged amusing pictures in all their forms. Sometimes a style of funny pic becomes so popular that it receives a name of its own such as Photobombing or LOLCats.
However, like many things which have become popular during the internet age, their origins can be traced back many years to before the net was even conceived!
