Body Implants

Rather than earrings or other body piercings, some people are now going for body implants. A wide variety of inert implant materials can be used for this such as Teflon, silicon, surgical steel or titanium. Prior to the availability of modern materials, there is a long history of pearls being used for body implants, and the practice was called pearling.
