The afro hairstyle, which first became popular in the 60s and 70s was originally a sign of rebellion against the institution.
Today the mighty fro is making a comeback, worn by models and celebrities alike.

I had to laugh at this...What really amuses me is these guys from the 70's who still have the fro complete with the receding hair line. I work with one!

Just for the record--Beyonce can do no wrong in my book!
