How To Live to 100
March 17th 2010 02:29
During the Bronze Age the average human life span was just 18 years. Today in developed countries that figure has almost increased to 80 years. The human with the longest (proved) lifespan was French woman Jeanne Calment who died in 1997 at the age of 122.
With advances in medicine the average human lifespan should gradually increase into the low 90s and may one day reach 100. It would take a yet unforeseen advancement in medicine or technology for humans to live longer than this on average.
The fastest growing demographic in the developed world is the Centenarian. It is estimated that by the year 2050 there will be over 1 million people living in the USA over the age of 100. (That figure currently sits at approximately 70,000).
Do you want to be part of that group one day? Then start looking after your health now!
